We were able to review the The 2-disc Extended Edition DVD and thought it was quite a great package. It comes with it’s own Digital copy that you can transfer to your computer and then upload to a portable device such as an ipod. This is a nice family safe movie in the same tradition as the first 2, although we thought the music wasn’t quite as catchy as the first High School Musical movie. We like how although this movie is about teens it stays safe with no swearing or violence and the romances do not progress to anything more than hand-holding and a sweet kiss. We suggest checking out the 2-disc Extended version for the bonus features which is set up like a high school yearbook. The Blu-ray disc has additional features that we have not reviewed, but also might be worth checking out if you have a Blu-ray player.

In this Disney straight to DVD release the talking Golden Retrievers are back and on an adventure to outer space. The movie really appeals to younger kids and families, but even my 10 year old son enjoyed watching this film. Just like in Snow Buddies the puppies mirror their child owners personalities and luckily haven’t grown up so they are still adorably cute. Obviously the story is unbelievable that puppies would actually end up on a spaceship, but when you have talking dogs what would you expect? With that said it has enough cute factor, simple story line for kids to follow, and humor to keep kids entertained. You can count on this movie being safe for young kids to watch although there are some instances of teasing, disrespect, and dog farting jokes. The main message my boys got from this movie was to be brave and loyal.
