Drawing on his encyclopedic Kung Fu fan-boy knowledge, Po captivates his rambunctious young scholars with the early tales of Monkey, Tigress, Mantis, Viper and Crane, revealing how they unlocked important teachings about the art and ideals of Kung Fu, including patience, courage, confidence, discipline and compassion.
Review: This is a great companion to the Kung Fu Panda Movie in which it touches briefly on each character and how they learned an important life quality to help them master the art of Kung Fu. The short feature is partially in 3-D animation, but switches back and forth to the 2-D animation when Po tells the stories to his bunny students. I thought it made it more interesting to watch and liked the contrast of the different styles of art. The bonus features which are included in the single disc include fun interactive activities like learning some Kung Fu moves, an insight to the Chinese Zodiac, learning a Panda dance, how to draw the Kung Fu Panda characters from an expert, and some activities you can do on your PC, which I couldn’t access because I’m on a Mac. Although this DVD feature is short at only 22 minutes, if you’re a fan of the Kung Fu Panda movie I think this is worth checking out and there’s enough bonus features to make it worthwhile for kids who like to draw or learn new moves.

In this Disney straight to DVD release the talking Golden Retrievers are back and on an adventure to outer space. The movie really appeals to younger kids and families, but even my 10 year old son enjoyed watching this film. Just like in Snow Buddies the puppies mirror their child owners personalities and luckily haven’t grown up so they are still adorably cute. Obviously the story is unbelievable that puppies would actually end up on a spaceship, but when you have talking dogs what would you expect? With that said it has enough cute factor, simple story line for kids to follow, and humor to keep kids entertained. You can count on this movie being safe for young kids to watch although there are some instances of teasing, disrespect, and dog farting jokes. The main message my boys got from this movie was to be brave and loyal.

My family and I tried playing this game and the AirG peripherals were a little difficult to get used to especially if you’re used to playing games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Once we figured out how to strum the nunchuck we were able to start off touring in small venues and work are way up to larger one’s. This game is best for teens who like this kind of music because it starts you off with just a few tunes which you have to master before unlocking more.
